THE CLOCK IS TICKING! We are getting close to the end of the auction now and wanted to go over a few answers to some frequently asked questions to our office:
BIDDING END TIMES: The bidding ends on Friday, Feb. 22 with staggered end times – note that only the “Fixtures and Retail Equipment” catalog ends at 1:00PM. The others have later end times so that not all of the catalogs end at one time.
NO SNIPING – EXTENDED BIDDING: Any bid placed in the last 10 minutes of the scheduled ending time of the auction extends the bidding on that lot alone an additional 10 minutes and the bidder who is then out of winning position will receive an email and/or a text message (whichever signed up for when registered) to bid again. That lot will remain open for bidding until there are no bids on that lot for 10 minutes. This will only affect lots with last minute bids. All other lots will continue to close at the advertised time. This will eliminate a bidder “sniping” in the last seconds and winning the bid.
EASY BIDDING STRATEGY: There are so many items that we strongly recommend that you place your max bid and let the software increase your bid for you if someone else bids. It just isn’t possible to watch it all. If you only want to see what you are bidding on and not all of the thousands of items, just click on the “My Bids” tab and you will only be watching those.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THE AUCTION?: At the end of the auction, your credit card will be charged for your winning bids, a 10% buyer’s premium on the bid and sales tax. There will be no tax on the Buyer’s Premium or Buyer’s Premium charged on the sales tax. Both will be charged on the winning bid price only. You will receive a paid invoice to print and bring with you along with identification. NOTE: If someone is picking up for you, send a printed invoice with them to pick up. Obviously, we cannot give your items to someone who cannot prove that they are legitimately there to pick up for you.
SALES TAX ID NUMBERS FOR RESALE: If you have a tax ID number for resale, we must have a copy of your sales tax license on file within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Typing in your sales tax number at registration is not enough. By law, we need the actual copy of the license. There can be no exceptions to this and we cannot make refunds for taxes paid at pick up. Please email a copy of your tax resale license to [email protected] or fax it to 217.563.2111 to the attention of Jodi Reynolds. Make sure your username and your contact info is on there and we will flag your account as tax exempt. Remember, this will need to be here 24 hrs prior to the end of the auction.
PICK UP DATES AND TIMES: Bring your ID and Printed Paid Invoice! Saturday and Sunday, February 23 and 24 from 9:00am – 6:00pm each day. We cannot allow everyone in at one time but will do all we can to make this as easy a process as possible. Please understand that we are trying to protect your items for you and be certain that they don’t get accidentally tangled with anyone else’s as they pick up. The fixtures, chandeliers, shelving, racking, gazebo…all of the large items need to be picked up only on Sunday. Right now, these fixtures are full of merchandise and cannot be unloaded. Please bring all boxes, packing, tools for dismantling, any assistance you will need along with your patience, understanding, sense of humor because we already know this will be organized chaos and we will try to make things as easy as possible for everyone.
SHIPPING: There is shipping available with two different 3rd party shippers. BOX & GO is available for smaller items and is located just around the corner. ACCESS AMERICA TRANSPORT is available for large shipping needs. The contact information for both is at the bottom of the details page for each auction in Springfield. Please note that these are 3rd party shippers who will come to the pickup dates/times for you and will need to be scheduled with you in advance. We will ease the transaction as much as possible – but the shipping is a transaction between you and these 2 companies.

EASY MOVING OF THE CHANDELIERS! We had an electrician in J. Parsons, who not only disconnected the electricity to the chandeliers, but also lowered them to just a few feet above the floor. They are hanging from ropes or cables or whichever - but the point is – they will be really easy to move now. No More Worries! Bid away!

BY BIDDING ON THIS AUCTION, BUYER AGREES TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH AND ENTERS INTO A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE THE ITEM(S) UNDER THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:<br>

2. THE PICK-UP DATES & TIMES for the items on this auction are Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 9:00am to 6:00pm. All fixtures (racks, shelving, light fixtures, security systems....) are only to be picked up on the second pick up day, Sunday, Feb. 24. <br>

ALL ITEMS MUST BE PAID FOR AND REMOVED ON THE SCHEDULED PICK UP DATES. If the Buyer does not pay and pick up the items on the scheduled pick up dates/times, the registration credit card will be charged: the final bid plus the 10% Buyer’s Premium, plus all costs, including, but not limited to the holding/transporting/storage costs of the items. <br>

3. PICK-UP INFORMATION: All Buyers are responsible for bringing their own packing materials and help with loading. We will not have boxes or packing materials onsite at any location. Although there will be a forklift and operator at the Clearlake and Taylor warehouse pickups only, we will not have personnel for packing and/or loading assistance. Also, for any fixtures (shelving, light fixtures, security systems, and large decorative elements….etc.) or items that require disassembly please provide your own tools and manpower. <br>

Note that all merchandise will be sold and picked up before fixtures and shelving pick up. All items are in rented buildings and require moving out at the appropriate pick-up dates and times. We will not be able to make exceptions to this schedule.<br>

4. DEFAULT OF BUYER: Successful bidder not paying for items by pick-up dates will be considered in default. Such default by the Successful Bidder will result in that Bidder’s liability to both the Seller and Aumann Auctions, Inc. Seller shall have the right to: <br>
(a) declare this contractual agreement cancelled and recover full damage for its breach<br>
(b) to elect to affirm this contractual agreement and enforce its specific performance or <br>
(c) Seller can resell the items either publicly or privately<br>
with Aumann Auctions, Inc. and in such an event, the Buyer shall be liable for payment of any deficiency realized from the second sale plus all costs, including, but not limited to the holding/transporting/storage costs of the items, the expenses<br>
of both sales, legal and incidental damages of both the Seller and Aumann Auctions, Inc. <br>
<br>
In addition, Aumann Auctions, Inc. also reserves the right to recover any damages separately from the breach of the Buyer. The purchaser agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and costs incurred by Aumann Auctions, Inc. in the collection of funds. The purchaser also agrees that a storage/handling fee of 2% per month be added to the balance of any unpaid balance due Aumann Auctions, Inc. and any other costs or losses incurred by the Buyer’s failure to adhere to these terms. Any debt collection or dispute proceedings will be litigated or arbitrated in Montgomery<br>
County, Illinois at the option of both the Seller and Aumann Auctions, Inc.<br>

Both the Successful Bidder and Seller shall indemnify Aumann Auction, Inc. for and hold harmless Aumann Auctions, Inc. from any costs, losses, liabilities, or expenses, including attorney fees resulting from Aumann Auctions, Inc. being named as a party to any legal action resulting from either Bidders or Sellers failure to fulfill any obligations and undertakings as set forth in this contractual agreement.<br>

5. CATALOG: Aumann Auctions has put forth every effort in preparing the catalog for this auction to provide accurate descriptions of all items. All lots are sold “AS-IS, WHERE-IS”, with all faults, imperfections and errors of description. Due diligence is the responsibility of the bidder/buyer. Printed statements or descriptions by staff are provided in good faith and are matters of opinion. Note that many of the lots are large/wholesale groups. In some photos, other items are shown in the background of the item(s) being sold or additional items can be seen on nearby shelves. We have added verbiage to the description in an attempt to adequately describe the item(s) being sold. Please read description in addition to viewing the photos. Also, in some cases, the quantities are a close estimation. <br>

AUCTION END TIMES: Aumann Auctions, Inc. online only auctions are timed events and all bidding will close at specified time. However, our auctions also have what is called an 'Auto Extend' feature. Any bid placed within the final 10 minutes of an auction results in the auction automatically extending 10 additional minutes. The bidding will extend in 10 minute increments from the time the last bid is placed until there are no more bids, and the lot sits idle for 10 minutes. Therefore, the auction will not close until all<br>
bidding parties are satisfied and no one can be outbid at the last seconds without having another opportunity to bid again. <br>

TECHNICAL ISSUES: In the event there are technical difficulties related to the server, software, internet or any other online auction-related technologies, Aumann Auctions, Inc. reserve the right to extend bidding, continue the bidding, or close the bidding.
